Decisions

We talked about making decisions Wednesday. I thouht I'd remind you of the questions that help us deal with whatever "this" comes along. All these principles come from 1 Cor. 6:12-20

  • Is this beneficial?

  • Will this control me?

  • Would I do this with Jesus?

  • Is there a direct command in scripture about this?

  • Does this glorify God?

Have a great weekend!

Day 7

The FBC Meridian youth family did a great job choosing the name for the new worship band tonight. Day 7 is a name that calls us to rest in God and find our life in him. That is what the Fuel worship experience is all about. I found a quote for an African-American pastor that connects fuel and sabbath rest. I think ya'll will like it -

"You must know we all need a place to rest for a moment, to rethink where we are and refuel for the journey ahead. Facing the future without rest is like trying to drive the car with the fuel gauge on 'E." We find ourselves depleted and ill-prepared for the journey before us, and we fail not for the lack of desire or giftedness, but only from the lack of rest." T.D. Jakes

Good job ya'll!

Note: I talked to the anon. commenter and Clif...oops "the commenter" is cool with the process and he loves, Day 7. We'll post video of Chris' speech tomorrow. See ya'll at the b-ball game.

Thursday's Afterthought

REMEMBER: Jesus doesn't want to be one more piece of pizza in your box. He wants to be the main ingredient in your life.

He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He might come to have first place in everything. Colossians 1:18b HCSB

Palm Sunday

Some of the youth led in worship on Palm Sunday ringing handbells! They accompanied the Preschool and Children's choirs. They were great!

Easter Afterburn

Last Thursday night, the Youth Council planned an Afterburn for the youth group. The youth choir sang in the Maundy Thursday service and then everyone headed to the gym for pizza and a Mega Relay! It was so much fun!! Take a look at these pictures!
