Touched by an Angel

We had a fabulous time in Tupelo this past weekend at Touched By An Angel Ministries Camp (TBAAM). How wonderful it is to know that there are people right in our very own backyard that need our help just as much as the people in different countries.

TBAAM is a camp for people with special needs. We had campers from 8 to 19 years old. Some with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, to campers that had broken bodies but perfect minds. We entered the weekend with lots of nerves, but came home with new friendships, a new outlook on life and a better understanding and appreciation for people that have special needs.

I hope that you enjoy these few pictures and hilarious videos of our time at TBAAM.
Quite possibly our favorite part of the whole weekend was getting to witness two of the campers, Amanda Claire and Ben, get ready for the Tupelo High School Prom. Don't they look great??
While they were at their prom, TBAAM had their own little dance. Drew was talked into dressing up and entertaining for a few minutes. Take a look!

AND LOOK AT HIS FAB HOUSE SLIPPERS!!!!

And below is Casey and Caroline cutting a rug right before the dance started.
They're precious!!

Thanks so much, Brian and staff, for helping us have an incredible weekend. We'll be back soon!

Wesley House Fall Fest

Some of the youth were able to help with a community fall festival for the Wesley House. We had the best time playing with all of the kids, managing games, giving prizes, etc.

Halloween Happenin'

Our Youth Family had it's Halloween Happenin' at the barn in Chunky back in October. The youth were asked to dress up in an "animated character" costume. We had everything from Woody from Toy Story, Supergirls, Wilma from the Flintstones, Popeye and Olive Oil, Pooh and Piglet, Shaggy, Strawberry Shortcake, etc. The costumes were super cute!!
